Meet the Allisons

Scott is a native of Lansing, Michigan, where he grew up in a Christian home. He was homeschooled from kindergarten to graduation. He came to Christ at a young age, and sensed a call to vocational ministry in elementary school. He began teaching the Bible in high school with Child Evangelism Fellowship in schools and back yards. This experience left him with a lifelong passion for equipping the church for evangelism and for seeing people of all ages and walks reached for Christ.

After attending Bible college in Florida, he received his M.Div. from Faith Bible Seminary, which was started by Faith Church of Lafayette, Indiana. There he met his wife Courtney and gained invaluable experience shepherding people while on staff at the church. Upon graduation, Scott and Courtney and their newly adopted son Grant moved to the greater Philadelphia area to help establish a new church-plant.

Courtney spent most of her growing-up years in the Lafayette, Indiana area. Like Scott, she came to Christ at a young age, and was homeschooled from kindergarten to graduation. Both of her parents and some of her siblings are involved heavily in the biblical counseling ministries of Faith Church. Courtney began teaching the Bible to children in junior high, and she still deeply enjoys showing kids how exciting the Word of God is. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in speech therapy from Purdue University, and spent several years working at a hospital as a speech therapist.

She loves discipling women and making the Allison home a beautiful and safe place for others. She enjoys blogging, painting, and cooking without a recipe. She is currently homeschooling their two oldest children (soon to be three oldest children!).

The Allisons have four children: Joel, age 7; Grant, age 6; Bets (Elizabeth), age 5; and Freddy, age 2. They have experienced the joy of adoption twice, and hope to again in the future.
